Today at AIG’s headquarters in NYC, dozens of activists staged a holiday-themed delivery of over 27,000 petitions to CEO Peter Zaffino.

We are demanding that AIG stop insuring toxic tar sands pipelines and coal mines that harm frontline communities and accelerate the climate crisis. Without insurance, these planet-wrecking industries can’t survive.

We need to turn up the heat even more. We’re using calendar invites as a tool to put our demands on AIG’s agenda and ensure that CEO Zaffino gets the message loud and clear: It’s time for AIG to stop insuring harm and start insuring our future.

How to join the Calendar Jam

  1. Open your calendar app, such as Gmail or Outlook. We’re sending calendar invites to CEO Peter Zaffino and other AIG execs (and to Stop the Money Pipeline so we can track our impact!)
  2. Pick a time in your calendar between now and December 31, 2021. Title your meeting something like: “Stop insuring coal!”, “No Fossil Fuel Expansion!”, or “Don’t Steal My Future!” Optional: Add more detail about why our demands should be on AIG’s agenda in the meeting description!
  3. Copy all of the following email addresses and paste them into the invite field of your event.
    Copy emails in one click:
    Peter.Zaffino@aig.com, Geoffrey.Cornell@aig.com, Sabra.Purtill@aig.com, David.McElroy@aig.com, Claude.Wade@aig.com, Lucy.Fato@aig.com, Shane.Fitzsimons@aig.com, Kevin.Hogan@aig.com, Mark.Lyons@aig.com, Naohiro.Mouri@aig.com, John.Repko@aig.com, boardofdirectors@aig.com, info@stopthemoneypipeline.com, climateaction@citizen.org
  4. Click “send invitations” so the executives get an email notification as well.
  5. Ensure you get their attention by sending multiple invitations! (Hot tip: sending many events is more effective than one long event. Executives will have to decline each and every invitation, making it impossible to ignore.)
  6. Amplify your impact by sharing this action page on social media!
